UK-Shrewsbury: playground equipment
CMC 249 - Framework for the supply and installation of natural play and fixed play equipment. Shropshire Council is initially looking to award a contract to develop 4 new play areas within the Northern Shropshire Play Project, to start in March 2011. This project has an overall budget of 110 000 GBP. The project involves the proposed development of 4 new play areas within the rural villages of Newtown, Prees, Stanton Upon Hine Heath and Weston Under Redcastle for the design, landscaping, supply and installation of elements of natural play and fixed play equipment and safety surfacing in village locations. To include footpaths, amenity furniture such as picnic benches and bins, construction of mound areas to encourage natural play for children to include possibly climbing on tree trunks, boulders, log piles as well as challenging and exciting play equipment. In addition the project will be looking for innovative designs for inclusive play opportunities for children with varying abilities. The overall design must follow guidance set in Design for Play published by Play England. Additionally Shropshire Council is seeking to set up at the same time a framework agreement with a minimum of three and a maximum of five contractors for future similar projects for the supply and installation of elements of natural and fixed play equipment for toddler, junior and teenager age groups. The framework will commence in April 2011 and will be in place for an initial three years with an option for a further one year extension. The estimated value of the framework is approximately 500 000 GBP but the Contracting Authority can not provide any guarantee in relation to the value of work to be awarded under the framework. DK-Aarhus: microscopes
Purchase of microscope. The Contracting Authority intends to purchase an instrument based on fluorescence microscopy for in vivo imaging of blood flow in single capillaries and simultaneous measurement of morphological and biochemical parameters of endothelial cells, pericytes and associated tissues (the Microscope). The aim of the instrument is to enable the simultaneous measurement of red blood cell flux in as many individual brain capillaries as possible within the field of view, and at the same time record morphological changes in cells constituting the capillary wall and biochemical changes in surrounding parenchyma in order to study the interplay of pericytes, capillary bloodflow and tissue activity over time. For this purpose two-photon microscopy is chosen as the main methodology, optionally supplemented by laser scanning confocal microscopy. The instrument should be able perform in vivo imaging in anaesthetized rats and mice, which may at the same time be subject to artificial ventilation, iv infusion, electrophysiological measurements. The instrument will be established as a basic unit, which should be able to operate as a stand-alone system for two-photon in vivo imaging of rats and mice. CPV: 38510000. ...
