London Councils requires a contract for the provision of a door to door licensed taxi and private hire vehicle service for people who have serious mobility impairment and have difficulty in using mainstream public transport. The members of the London Taxicard Scheme are offered subsidised travel in licensed taxis and private hire vehicles. The members may use this service 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
