UK-London: driving-school services
Provision of smarter driving instructors for the Energy Saving Trust smarter driving programme. The Energy Saving Trust is inviting tenders for the supply of up to 2 667 days of driving instruction from approved driving instructors (hereafter referred to as ADIs). The contractor will be supplying ADIs for the Energy Saving Trust's smarter driving programme, and each day of instruction will involve training up to nine people with smarter driving lessons of approximately 50 minutes each. Each 50 minute lesson will involve driving a circuit on public roads 3 times. The first circuit in the trainee's normal driving style without instruction to establish the trainee's baseline MPG and MPH; the second circuit under instruction; and the third circuit with little instruction from the ADI to measure the trainee's MPG and MPH after instruction. This will allow the Energy Saving Trust to calculate the percentage decrease in fuel consumption after training. All ADIs will have attended at least a half-day course to explain the nature of the Energy Saving Trust smarter driving programme and the techniques to be taught. All ADI are to have demonstrated their own ability to drive efficiently and according to Energy Saving Trust smarter driving advice, to the satisfaction of the contract manager. The Contractor will supply vehicles (cars and vans) and insurance for the training. The contractor will be responsible for pre-training communication with clients to ensure they understand and meet the requirements for the day. The contractor will record MPG and MPH results from each trainee and will use these results to create tailored certificates for each trainee, which the contractor will email or post to the clients. 1031 Stock management and distribution of water efficiency products. Thames Water is required by Ofwat to promote and achieve water savings by providing water efficiency devices to its customers and encouraging behavious change. Products include cistern-displacement devices for toilets (e.g. Save-a-flushes, hippos), water efficient aerated shower heads and aerated tap inserts. There are a number of channels through which products can be requested and distributed to a customer. Direct web orders and posted forms account for a large proportion of the stock distributed but requests also come through the customer contact centre, particularly where larger quantities of stock are being requested. In addition, the customer education and liaison team manage several projects and work with a number of partners such as councils and housing associations who request stock from us to distribute on our behalf in homes, businesses and schools across the Thames region. TW is looking to establish a Framework Agreement, ideally with one supplier who can provide efficient, cost effective management (stock control, storage, demand reporting) and distribution of the water efficiency products to TW's Customers. The anticipated volume is estimated to be up to 100 000 orders per year. CPV: 79991000. ...
