1024 Sewer monitoring and investigation. Thames Water intends to award framework agreements for the provision of short-term sewer monitoring, permanent monitoring and sewer investigation/survey work. These agreements will support Thames Water's multi billion pound capital programme for AMP 5. Contracts awarded under the Framework Agreements may be awarded directly by Thames Water or by one of its approved contractors or an approved sub-contractor. The supplier will be expected to offer the same levels of service and commercial benefits to Thames Water and its approved contractors and sub-contractors. For single, large scale requirements the supplier may be required to 'project manage' to ensure that all goods are supplied in a timely manner and project costs are minimised. This notice is a request for expressions of interest to participate in the bid process to establish the relevant framework agreement. Thames Water will consider how lots may be combined (if at all) subject to responses received from applicants and in particular where this is considered to offer economic advantage. Thames Water reserves the right not to award Framework Agreements for one or more lots. Applicants may apply individually and/or provide joint venture or consortium applications. It is envisaged that Framework agreements will be awarded for the duration of 2 years extendable up to a maximum of 5 years. Applications are welcome from applicants that are able to provide the above requirements in the following Lots: Lot 1 - Supply and Installation of short-term sewer monitors to measure the depth and velocity to enable flow data to be captured. The equipment must be ATEX approved. Included in this Lot will be rain guages, equipment for the measurement of pumping station operation such as current clamps, pressure and surge measurement associated with rising mains. Surveys may require up to 100 monitors for any one project with scope for simultaneous projects to run in parallel; Lot 2 - Installation of permanent flow and depth monitors. Scope will include the supply and installation of permanent telemetered monitors as well as the installation of Thames Water supplied monitoring equipment. Ongoing maintenance of the permanent equipment is also required. It is anticipated that up to 500 monitors could be installed annually; Lot 3 - Sewer investigations/Site surveys. To include manhole, pumping station (including draw down tests) and ancilliary surveys (CSO etc.). Please note the above list is not exhaustive and types of sewer monitoring and investigation may be added/removed based on project requirements in AMP 5. The successful supplier(s) are expected to offer innovative solutions and design savings for projects and challenge design specifications and technical solutions being considered for a project.
