The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is currently undergoing a major PFI construction project with two new Hospitals being built in Wakefield and Pontefract. The Trust initially intends to procure an automated Pharmacy dispensing system for Pinderfields Hospital with the potential for further robotic installations at Pontefract Hospital and within the existing Dewsbury & District Hospital. The procurement will include installation and maintenance of an appropriately sited, configured and proven automated system which will hold stock and dispense pharmaceuticals in a controlled environment. Expressions of interest are invited from contractors who can offer a complete solution to the supply, installation and maintenance of an automated pharmacy dispensing system. An enabling contract for the supply and delivery of turbine fuel, aviation: kerosene type NATO F-35 AVTUR, in Bulk, to Tactical Support Wing (TSW), Nanyuki Airstrip, Kenya. Duration of contract: 2 years plus a possible 1 year option at the discretion of the Authority. There are no guaranteed volumes on this requirement. Estimated quantities are based on historical data. The total annual requirement is in the region of 3 500 000 litres. There are up to 6 exercise periods per year requiring air support, when demand is likely to be in the region of 510 000 litres over 5-6 week periods. Fuel is also required in support of routine and emergency flights outside of exercise periods, but demand will be lower. An annual list of exercise dates will be issued, but the Authority does not guarantee to hold the exercises. At times, weather and local conditions can prevail against the exercises. Quality: fuel is to be in accordance with Defence Standard 91-91 (latest issue). Note: no fuel shall be supplied under this contract which contains synthetic components as detailed at Annex D of Defence Standard 91-91 (latest issue). Latest copies of Defence Standards are available from http://www.dstan.mod.uk. The contract shall also be subject to the following quality assurance regulations: Defence Standard 01-5 (latest issue). The supplier (and sub contractor if appropriate) as an alternative to Defence Standard 01-5 (latest issue) may demonstrate compliance with the joint inspection guidelines (JIG) or other recognised aviation fuel handling standard. Product shall fully comply with the requirements of AQAP 2130. This will require the submission of a quality management plan for review. Compliance with AQAP 2130 may be demonstrated through an ISO 9000 type certification. Management information shall be submitted to the budget managers on a monthly basis. Review meetings shall be held in UK by mutual agreement between the Authority and the supplier. The Authority reserves the right to issue a pre qualification questionnaire to interested parties.
