Contract for waste treatment & final disposal (LANDFILL) 2011-2013 (2014). The Contract which is the subject of this notice is for receipt of waste which is at present unrecyclable and/or unrecoverable from the 12 district waste collection authorities across the county of Kent for final treatment and disposal via landfill. We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in working with Kent County Council to deliver this service. Any applicant wishing to be considered for inclusion on the select tender list will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). The PQQ stipulates technical and financial aspects for evaluation, which will result in a pass or fail scoring. The Council propose to reach a tender shortlist through this PQQ process. Following the PQQ process, a maximum of 7 companies will be invited to tender for the provision of the service during June 2011. The cost award criteria will include an evaluation based upon the tendered cost of the Service but will also specifically recognise the additional costs associated with the Authority's obligation to make arrangements to deliver the Waste to the Contractor, therefore, the evaluation may result in a multiple award outcome, where this represents the most cost effective solution. This factor should be born in mind by all respondents.
