UK-London: taxi services
Taxi and courier service. The Contractor will be required to provide a taxi and courier service that ensures that patients, Trust staff and parcels/packages are transported in a safe and caring manner. The Contractor is expected to develop a relationship with the Trust which: — Supports the Trust's healthcare services in an efficient, effective, responsive and flexible manner, — Introduces integrated and convenient control and booking procedures supported by information technology which enables resource scheduling and deployment, provides unified statistics on contract performance both in quality and cost terms and any other management information that is required by the Trust, — Provides optimum value in terms of quality and cost and delivers initiatives for joint cost reduction throughout the life of the contract, — Provides a safe service that meets all legal requirements and is provided with regard for environmental considerations. The Contractor will be required to provide a 24 hour service daily, every day during the contract period (Sundays and Bank Holidays included), and the service provided must be promptly executed. The term 'Vehicle' has been used generically to mean either a taxi or courier vehicle. All Services will be provided in accordance with the Road Safety Act 2006, the 2004 Human Tissue Act, the Human Tissue Authority Directions 003/2010 and the ADR 2010 Regulations as appropriate. The volume of work is indicated in the journey data to be provided by the Trust. The specific services to be provided are as follows:-. — Conveyance of trust staff, — Conveyance of patients, — Conveyance of light goods, — Conveyance of human tissue, — Conveyance of specimens. The Trust has a reputation for excellence and the successful contractor will be expected to display similar standards eg in terms of the standard of its vehicles, calibre and appearance of staff, and the general reliability of the service. The contract will be offered for a 3 year period in the first instance, with the option of extending for upto a further 2 years. Defence science and technology laboratory (Dstl), on behalf of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MoD) is seeking to establish multiple supplier framework agreements to support the Medical countermeasures against Biothreat agent programme. The framework agreements will be for an initial 3 year period with an option to be extended for a further 12 months. Prospective suppliers should express an interest by the designated date (see Section IV.3.4). Interested parties will be required to demonstrate their suitability to meet the minimum requirements outlined below via a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). Those down selected will be invited to submit a full proposal against an Invitation To Tender (ITT). Prospective suppliers should meet as a minimum the following key capabilities: [1] Have an understanding of Biological Weapon (BW) agents and can apply appropriate molecular or immunological methods to the development of Medical countermeasures (MedCM) against a range of agents; [2] Have access to facilities for molecular and / or immunological work on BW agents; [3] Have a track record of research on a range of BW agents; [4] Have access to state of the art Biosafety Level (BSL) containment facilities up to and including Level 3 as per the definition from Council Directive 90/679/EEC or equivalent. The suppliers successfully awarded a framework agreement will then be invited during the Agreement period to submit proposals in support of various topics of research. The majority of taskings shall be placed under the framework agreements following mini-competitions. However, Dstl shall retain the right to award individual tasks on a single source basis where a particular supplier has a unique capability or intellectual property.
