As part of this project we are anticipate establishing a framework of supplier/s to provide goods and services to enable the University of Birmingham to establish a c. 21 metre x c.14 metre multi-user, multi-touch Prototyping Hall based in the ERI building on the Universitys Edgbaston campus in Birmingham. The procurement process to equip the Hall with the facilities detailed in this document will only proceed if the University of Birmingham is successful in its application for a European regional development fund (ERDF) grant. If the application is successful, the Hall will become the centrepiece of the Universitys heritage and cultural learning hub and will be used by its partners in the larger ERDF project (SMEs and galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) to develop and test multi-user, multi-touch content for use in public display spaces, on mobile devices, and for delivery on-line.
