Management of the improvement adviser service. The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) aims to accelerate the drive for excellence within the learning and skills sector, building the sector's own capacity to design and deliver improvement and strategic change. This will help realise our vision that every learner acquires the skills, knowledge and appetite for learning, living and working and that every provider is valued by their community and employers for their contribution to sustainable social and economic priorities. LSIS is seeking tenders to continue management of the Improvement Adviser Service (IAS) programme. This successful programme has been running since 2006 and provides a national network of highly experienced improvement advisers working alongside individual providers to develop their capacity for improvement. The programme has already supported more than 600 learning and skills providers to improve their performance. Partnership working with funding and sector representative organisations is a critical feature of the delivery of the service. LSIS is looking to develop the service into the future through innovative and creative ideas to promote professional development and improvement techniques. The scope of the service in 2011-2012 will focus solely on: — Providers with a success rate notice to improve, — Providers with a finance notice to improve, — Providers found inadequate at inspection. Please note that we envisage that the contract will be awarded for 8 months initially with options to extend for up to a further 24 months. ACT is seeking expressions of interest from potential bidders for the requirement to deliver support services to RAF Wittering, RAF Coningsby, RAF Honington & Blenheim Camp, RAF Waddington, RAF Marham. Tenderers will be invited to submit proposals which will include the following functional areas: accommodation cleaning (including window cleaning), laundry services and tailoring services. It is envisaged that the services will be required for a 3 year period from July 2012 to June 2015, with the possibility of 4 further option periods of 6 months each, up to June 2017. It is anticipated that TUPE will apply to this requirement. Potential suppliers with experience of delivering aforementioned services should submit an expression of interest in writing, including evidence of previous experience by 6.6.2011. ACT may not consider late or incomplete expressions of interest. ACT may undertake a pre-qualification exercise for this requirement following expressions of interest and only those companies that can demonstrate a sufficient level of competence against the Authority's pre-qualification criteria will be invited to tender for the requirement. It is the intention of ACT to invite a maximum of 5 tenderers to submit tenders.
