South Tees Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust are planning to replace the 3 No existing porous load sterilizers in the sterile services department at Friarage hospital Northallerton. In order to maintain the service, a phased programme will be required for the replacement porous load sterilizers and the removal of the existing BMM Weston machines. The sterilizer manufacturer shall, as part of the tender, submit proposals to facilitate this requirement. The validation report associated with each replacement sterilizer must be "signed off" by the Authorising engineer decontamination, prior to the commencement of the next phase. The 12 months warranty period for the replacement sterilizers will commence following the " sign off " on the 3rd sterilizer. The sterilizer manufacturer shall take due note of this requirement and allow for all associated costs. It is recognised by the Trust that in order to locate the replacement porous load sterilizers in the existing area, enabling works will be required [provided by the Trust] to suit the selected manufacturers machine. The sterilizer manufacturer shall take due note of the existing plantroom services and reuse existing service positions where possible.
