Dual-chamber rate-responsive implantable pulse generators with the following features: 1 - Can be re-programmed non-invasively in at least the following parameters: a. lower rate, upper tracking rate; b. paced and sensed AV delay; c. atrial and ventricular pulse width; d. atrial and ventricular pulse amplitude; e. atrial and ventricular sensitivity; f. atrial and ventricular refactory periods; g. atrial and ventricular polarity switch: unipolar or bipolar sensing/pacing; h. mode: DDD, DDDR, DDI, DDIR, VDD, VDDR, DVI, DVIR, DOO, DOOR, AAI, AAIR, AOO, AOOR, AAT, AATR, VVI, VVIR, VOO, VOOR,VVT, VVTR; i. upper activity rate; j. rate response pattern with rate-responsive AV delay. 2. Real-time telemetry of intra-cardiac electrograms and other diagnostics. 3. Non-invasive assessment of atrial and ventricular pacing threshold. 4. Automatic options to prevent pacemaker-mediated tachycardia. 5. Ventricular safety pacing (or similar option). 6. Automatic mode switch (or similar option). 7. Rate responsiveness with optimization to various patient activities. 8. Availability of atrial overdrive algorithms for atrial fibrillation prevention will be taken into consideration when awarding the tender. 9. Availability of algorithms to minimise ventricular pacing in the presence of a satisfactory intrinsic rhythm will be taken into consideration when awarding the tender. 10. Preference will be given to pacemakers with a case thickness of 8 mm or less and/or a volume of 15 ml or less. Longevity and diagnostics will also be taken into consideration when awarding the tender. 11. The lead connectors should be compatible with International Standard – 1 (IS – 1) leads. 12. Tenderers should supply the Hospital free of charge, with two programmers, software upgrades and all the necessary training material for the operator (unless these are already available at the Health Department). The tenderer should also supply a dummy pacemaker of identical physical size and weight (unless similar units have already been implanted previously). 13. Tenderers should complete the following form and attach it to their offers, if they wish their these offers to be considered: Trade name of pacemaker. Case thickness mm. Case weight g. Case volume ml. Longevity (100 % pacing, 60 ppm, 0.4 ms pulse width, 2.5 V pulse amplitude, into the impedance of the supplied leads) months. B. Endocardial pacing leads with the following features: Each pacemaker unit should come complete with its two respective leads (one for the atrium and the other for the ventricle). 1. Bipolar, permanent, endocardial pacing leads with a tined tip for passive fixation to the atrium/ventricle. 2. The leads should be compatible with the generators supplied but should, in any case, be also compatible with the International Standards –1 (IS–1). 3. Preference will be given to leads that possess features that aim to reduce pacing threshold and increase lead tip impedance. 4. The effective tip diameter should not be greater than 10 French. Preference will be given to leads with thinner lead bodies. The Health Department reserves the right to choose to purchase a mixture of offers that best fit our specifications and needs of particular subsets of patients. CPV: 33182210. ...
