NHS CPC is seeking to provide a contract for an innovative solution for the automated management and disposal of operating theatre fluid waste for use by our member Trust organisations in the provision of their operating theatre activities. Our aims are to provide an efficient method which minimises environmental impact of the activity and reduces risk to staff within the hospital environment and beyond. UK-Carmarthen: ophthalmology equipment
Supply of Low Vision Aids. The Welsh Low Vision Service (WLVS) is provided by 170 accredited optometrists out of over 200 optometry practices in Wales and administered centrally through Hywel Dda LHB (Carmarthenshire Locality). The Scheme has grown from its introduction in 2004 to serving at present over 18 000 patients across Wales with the yearly growth projected to be over 3 000 patients. Patients are routinely entitled to one full assessment annually, and briefer Follow-up appointments are carried out when required. Low Vision Aid (LVA) orders are placed daily for an average of 40 patients, supplying 50 plus LVAS per order. We currently achieve a turnaround timeframe of less than two weeks for the aids to reach the patient. There is a comprehensive catalogue of approved low vision aids for the accredited optometrists to order from. The WLVS recycle's low vision aids that are suitable for re-use. This tender is for the Supply of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), first aid, corporate wear and staff uniforms, food industry clothing, sports clothing, personalised clothing and medical clothing (in ten separate lots) to Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) members. CPC members across the UK include further education institutions, sixth forms, Academies, Schools and other similar organisations including British Museums.
