UK-Manchester: breakdown and recovery services for motor vehicles
Fleet services. Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has procured a fleet services framework agreement, pursuant to which it is envisaged that contracts will be let to suppliers within the framework, for the delivery of various aspects of fleet services, including the following: — Lot 1B - roadside/breakdown assistance - national, — Lot 2B - fuel/fuel cards - national, — Lot 3A - driver assessment/training - north west, — Lot 3B - driver assessment/training - national. GMCC has appointed fleet services supply partners who can supply to Chamber members predominantly in the north west (the majority being within Greater Manchester), however since the ensuing framework may be utilised by members who have offices or contracts in other parts on the UK - national coverage was also required and as such each lot was been subdivided into the north west and national. For lot 1 (roadside/breakdown assistance) and lot 2 (fuel/fuel cards) however only national contracts have been awarded. Those with national coverage will have an equal opportunity to supply in the north west as well as to the rest of the UK. UK-Kendal: refuse and waste related services
Domestic waste & recycling services. University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust (UHMBT) has a requirement to source a suitably qualified provider for the collection, transportation and recycling of general domestic waste, miscellaneous waste and non clinical waste. It is expected that the provider will work with UHMBT to continually develop and improve the management of waste disposal and recycling services to meet changing legislative requirements. As well as providing any necessary equipment including but not limited to compactors, recycling bins etc, the provider will also have knowledge of WEEE regulations and be expexted to deliver innovative solutions for waste reduction throughout the contract period. The provider will also be expected to advise and assist UHMBT with the continuing implementation of waste segregation to support recycling and reprocessing. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SME's).
