RPA7262 Luas Wi-Fi. The Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) is the government agency responsible for the implementation of light rail, metro and the integrated ticketing system in Ireland. RPA opened the Luas Green and Red light rail lines in Dublin in 2004 and these are currently operated by Veolia Transportation Ireland Ltd. It is RPA's desire to offer complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access to all Luas customers onboard all Luas trams on both the Green and Red lines in Dublin. In order to explore the options available to RPA in fulfilling this desire, RPA wishes to consult with interested parties on the technical challenges and commercial opportunities associated with the provision of Wi-Fi Internet access to Luas customers onboard Luas trams. Luas is the public transport mode of choice on the corridors it serves within Dublin, as demonstrated by Luas' performance during 2010 when 27.4 million passenger journeys were made on Luas trams.
