UK-Leeds: electrical power systems design services
Data Centre Power Requirements. The Council is seeking to contract with an experienced supplier to design, supply, build and potentially maintain a new electrical infrastructure for its existing Apex Data Centre. The Apex Data Centre is the primary Data Centre for Leeds City Council. We have a requirement to upgrade this facility to provide redundancy for the key ICT services provisioned from this Data Centre. The Apex Centre is currently supplied by an aged electrical infrastructure. This infrastructure has been extended over time, with little consideration for resilience and reliability or for best practice Data Centre topology. The Data Centre is protected by a single UPS system, there is no diesel generator on site and the distribution arrangement is poor. The overall power schematic for the Data Centre requires a full review and redesign to provide a tier 2 facility.
