UK-London: parking enforcement services
Parking, enforcement & CCTV contract. The London Borough of Hackney is procuring a new parking, enforcement & CCTV contract (PECC). The contract will contain 2 lots. The first will be for crime and disorder CCTV (closed circuit television) monitoring services that will be used to deliver community safety across the borough. The second lot is for parking and enforcement services and will cover a range of on and off street parking, enforcement and traffic management activities. The Council intends to award to either a single operator for both lots or separate operators for each lot. Operators bidding for either lot will be expected to manage (static and vehicle mounted) CCTV cameras as appropriate. Operators interested in the parking enforcement lot will also be expected to manage civil enforcement officers, a car pound, vehicle removals, suspensions, and other services or facilities as, appropriate. In addition, operators will need to provide a range of other enforcement activities including intelligence gathering and/or issuing fixed penalty notices for items such as works undertaken without obtaining the necessary licence from the Council, antisocial behaviour, low level environmental offences (including littering and dog fouling), highways defects, etc. The Council will also have the option to seek the supply of uniforms for other Council services from the operator. UK-London: land reclamation services
Falkland Islands de-mining programme office. Land reclamation services. Under the Convention on the prohibition of the use, stockpiling, production and transfer of anti-personnel mines and on their destruction (Ottawa Convention) the UK has an obligation to clear the remaining 113 mined areas in the Falkland Islands by 2019. Following the completion of the phase 1 project in 2009/10 the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has decided to proceed with a further phase of the project which will concentrate on the land release of a yet-to-be-decided specified area. This notice is seeking expressions of interest from service providers interested in participating in the tender exercise for the Falkland Islands De-mining programme office (DPO). The role of the DPO is to execute the policies of the National Mine Action Authority (NMAA) and it is required to supervise mine action activities on the Falkland Islands; and act as the Accreditation Body, Monitoring Body and Inspection Body for the Falkland Islands De-mining Programme. It must be noted that companies bidding to qualify for this DPO requirement will be excluded from bidding for the provision of a land release contractor in the Falkland Islands (which is the subject of the separate OJEU notice 2011/S 42-068920 published on 28.2.2011). Bikeability cycle training delivery agent. Management-related services. Bikeability is the "cycling proficiency for the 21st century". It is designed to give children and adults the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today's roads. There are 3 levels of Bikeability which follow the national standard for cycle training. The national standard itself, which underpins bikeability, was developed by expert cycling organisations; road safety organisations, and the Governments of the UK. The Government is committed to supporting bikeability for the remainder of this parliament. The department is now seeking a partner to manage bikeability on its behalf, and manage the grant funding for child bikeability training in England from the start of the 2011/12 financial year. The amount of the grant available to be distributed will be 11 000 000 GBP in 2011/12, with further grant totals to be confirmed for 2012/13 to 2014/15. The department requires the contractor to provide a number of core services to both the department and bikeability partners. These are detailed in accompanying documentation. The contractor will also be expected to provide expert cycle training and delivery management advice to the department as required within the overall contract limit. Cardigan Castle - Unlocking the Potential. Cardigan Castle is a major historic building in Ceredigion that has fallen into disrepair over many years. Cadwgan is proposing to conerve the Castle and bring it back into use as a major regional heritage visitor asset and cutultural centre. The overall project construction cost is in the region of 7 000 000 GBP and the project will commence on site in mid-2012 with completion in 2014. The works involved include specilaist conservation works, major structural repairs and works to alter and adapt the Castle buildings to new uses. The Trust has developed the proposals to RIBA Stage D and have obtained the necessary statutory consents.
