UK-Glasgow: construction work
I-Flair building maintenance framework - social housing Yes I-Flair is procuring a framework agreement, for the provision of supply and fit arrangements for various internal and external property works, commencing from September 2011. These works shall be required across Renfrewshire and Inverclyde primarily. The proposed framework agreement shall be put in place for a maximum period of 4 years. The following organisations shall be entitled to utilise the framework agreement, as and when required: 1. I-Flair partners, members and customers, both current and future; 2. Other partners, members and customers, both current and future. The organisations listed or referred to above have requirements primarily within Renfrewshire and Inverclyde. I-Flair is a consortium of housing associations in East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Renfrewshire. The members of I- Flair are Barrhead, Williamsburgh, Paisley South, Arklet, Linstone, Bridgewater, Cloch and Oaktree Housing Associations. Other organisations may join at a later date. Works shall mostly be awarded via call-off contracts which may range from GBP 1 000 to GBP 2 000 000. Mini competitions shall be used for some lots and will be indicated in the tender documents. Notwithstanding the above, applicants should note that, under the framework agreement, none of the organisations that are entitled to use the framework agreement shall be under any obligation to do so with framework partners. It is anticipated that I-Flair shall select multiple partners across the framework, under the various lots. Interested parties are advised that 'meet the buyer' events shall be held in April 2011 in Paisley. These are free events, which shall provide further information on the opportunity available, details on how to successfully complete the pre qualification questionnaire and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions of the buyers face-to-face. 2011-2015 Bathroom Replacements. Clackmannanshire Council (CC) is looking to appoint an experienced Contractor for a four year framework agreement to carry out the replacement of approximately 2 000-3 000 bathrooms in council houses in various towns within Clackmannanshire (on current levels approx. 15 % are only partial replacements). The Contractor is to assume the houses will be occupied. Sport England are seeking to modernise their approach to how they distribute the lottery funds by establishing a number of framework agreements with a supply chain of providers who will contract with successful lottery fund applicants. Sport England can see real benefits in efficiencies and cost reductions this approach can deliver through economies of scale, reduced administration, reduced timescales for project delivery and raising quality of provision. UK-Chester: historical monument or memorial construction work
Transforming Chester's cathedral quarter. Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council in partnership with Chester cathedral is seeking a contractor team to construct and deliver a project entitled Transforming Chester's cathedral quarter. This is a mixed use development that will create an inspiring, energetic place offering a unique insight into Chester's exceptional culture and heritage and make an essential contribution to the city's emergence as a must see European destination. The project will transform the cathedral and immediate environs with a series of interventions and developments over several phases. Initial works are classed as Phase 1 and is envisaged to include a) extensive new public realm with stone walls, soft landscaping, lighting and include a new city square to re-connect the cathedral with the city centre, b) a 'Cathedral at Height' attraction, converting routes and opening up access to the cathedral tower previously closed to visitors, and providing unique internal and external views of the cathedral and Chester City centre and c) a new cathedral stage with associated seating and lighting for both religious and secular events. Further elements that may be progressed as Phase 2, but are subject to confirmation of available funding and the Council's discretion are envisaged to include d) internal improvements to enhance the cathedral's welcome, that may include: WC facilities, terrace cafe, heating, visitor re-direction, audio visual facilities, storage provision, cathedral entrance, and also e) external works to refurbish the ground floor of the Bell tower. A contractor team is sought to undertake all elements of the project.
