25664 waste quality checking services for solid low level radioactive waste The framework covers the provision of services to undertake independent solid low level radioactive waste characterisation verification activities. We require that these services be designed to give assurance to the Environment Agencys regulatory staff that the wastes originating from nuclear sites have been correctly characterised and assigned as low level radioactive waste (as defined by UK Legislation). This work would be targeted on a risk basis aiming to achieve full coverage of nuclear sites over a given period. Assurance activities will include auditing sites procedures and operations for consigning low level waste for treatment and disposal, audit and review the low level waste repository (LLWR) assurance approach, seizing items of waste and drums (small quantities) for independent analysis for radioactivity (including transport to analytical facilities), storing and operating existing non destructive testing equipment (e.g. a segmented gamma scanner and low resolution gamma spectrometry system) providing insitu monitoring capability to assess the radioactivity content of individual items, drums or ISO containers of waste. Home Group - ICT Consultancy & Professional Services. Introduction. The process seeks to establish a framework agreement for the supply of ICT services and resources to support Home Groups existing ICT department in the delivery of cost effective and fit for purpose technology based solutions. Home has an existing ICT team which is spread over a number of disciplines and is looking to have arrangements in place to allow extra technical resources to be brought on line as workload dictates. Home is especially interested in respondents with proven approaches to the delivery of ICT services and solutions that are in line with Home's current technology platform and future requirements (described in detail below). Particular consideration will be given to the quality and expertise of resources that would be available to Home. Summary of Technical Environment. Home Group Limited has in excess of 3200 desktop and laptops connected to a central data suite which houses approximately 200 servers/virtual servers. All desktop and laptops are built to a standard image, currently utilising Windows XP, SP3. This environment has Microsoft Outlook and Office deployed directly to the desktop with other line of business apps accessed through Citrix and increasingly through Internet Explorer. VMware is utilised for server virtualisation. The server farm is being upgraded from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 SP2 (within the next 12 months. A number of database platforms are in use within the organisation with SQL Server predominate. Our IIE (Internet, Intranet, and Extranet) services are run internally from the organisation utilising the Share point environment. Microsoft BizTalk is becoming an increasingly important technology for multi-system communication and to allow us to engage effectively with our suppliers. Current focus for the department is the creation of a dedicated Contact Centre, part of which will be the implementation of the Lagan CRM solution with relevant integration into our core systems, in particular Capita's Open Housing Management System and Cedar Open Financials. Home has approximately 400 BT WAN connected sites 100 Telewest/BT connected sites and a handful of Site-to-Site VPN'S. This is currently under review. Cisco comms equipment provides all connectivity within the infrastructure. Core VoIP technology is Avaya. Proposed Contract. The deliverable from this process will be a competitive framework agreement that will enable Home Group to competitively select IS technical or project resource from: — mini-tender (across all or a selection) or, — call off (from a fixed price list submitted at tender stage) specific. Proposed Contract Term: We envisage letting a contract of a maximum of 4 years' duration (2 years plus potential 2 year extension) to suppliers. Contracts must include an optional 12 month break-clause that can be activated by Home Group should the supplier not achieve the agreed deliverables, performance or service level.
