The Contracting Authorities are seeking to establish a list of accredited providers to provide Social, Personal and Nursing Care Services for Adults in a Residential Setting. Suitable providers may be care homes (residential care homes and nursing homes) as well as independent hospitals, or any other provider that can meet the requirements set out in the Service Specification for Social, Personal and Nursing Care Services for Adults. This is a framework agreement process and NHS SBS will seek to accredit all suitably qualified providers on behalf of the Contracting Authorities to deliver the services outlined in the Service Specification. It offers no guaranteed level of activity or payment to any of the successful provides. All providers who wish to provide the services are invited to apply and must be able to demonstrate compliance with the accreditation criteria. For providers who fail to meet the accreditation criteria the first time of applying or for any new entrants to the market during the life of the framework agreement, the application process will be re-opened at 6 monthly intervals and advertised accordingly. As the services being procured under this framework agreement will be Part B services, for the purposes of the Public Regulations 2006, the Contracting Authorities and its agent NHS SBS will ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the principles of openness, transparency, equal treatment and non-discrimination. Management and specialist engineering support for the operation and maintenance of the fusion facilities at Culham Centre for fusion energy. The Culham Centre for fusion energy CCFE is one of the UKs leading Fusion research centres. The 180 acre site houses the UK Fusion Research Organisation including the jet facilities operated on behalf of the European fusion development agreement EFDA. The requirement is for the provision of a flexible management team of suitably qualified personnel to manage, control and supervise an Agency supplied workforce. The requirement is also for the provision of an experienced and suitably qualified mechanical inspection team to undertake specialist support services including non-contact inspection, alignment and surveying activities. The make up of the management team will be a site manager supported by a flexible team of approximately 18 to 30 persons depending upon operational and nonoperational periods, consisting of mechanical, electrical and planning engineers supervisors, inspectors and administrative staff. The management team under this contract will be expected to manage the workforce consisting of mechanical fitters, electricians, riggers, scaffolders, crane drivers and semi skilled operatives. The Workforce numbers will vary between 60 and 150 depending upon operational and nonoperational periods. A significant number of The Management team will need to be Monitored Radiation Workers to comply with the UK Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999 and Registered Beryllium workers.
