IRL-Dublin: operating theatre construction work
Operating Theatres Fitout - Clean Envelope. The Operating Theatres Fit-out Specialist with design input shall be responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of his fit-out works comprising partition walls, suspended ceilings and steel doors (both sliding and hinged) installations, all associated with 12 No. Operating Theatre suites at the New Mater Adult Hospital (Mater Misericordiae University Hospital) adjacent to a functioning acute hospital and beside the Mater Private Hospital on Eccles St. Dublin. 10 No. Operating Theatres will be constructed in Phase 1 commencing May 2011. Due to Metro North underground Works, construction of 2 bays of the Central Block building which will house two of the Operating Theatres will be delayed. Therefore Phase 2 comprising the remaining two Operating Theatres will have a latest fit-out start date of June 2016. The Operating Theatre suites (comprising operating rooms, anaesthetic rooms, prep rooms, dirty utility rooms, and scrub rooms) will be located on the 3rd floor of a new 4 storey Central Block building which is currently under construction by John Sisk and Sons Ltd. The areas to be fitted out will be unfinished shell space. The Fit-out installation works shall comprise the installation of partition walls to the theatre rooms with powder coated stainless steel panels or compact laminate panels on one face, ceilings with finish to match partitions, and integrated door sets. The Fit-out specialist shall co-ordinate his design and installation activities with the Mechanical/ Medical Gas specialist the Electrical/ ICT services specialist and the Theatre Equipment specialists. Theatre equipment installation includes but is not limited to 4 No UCV Systems, Operating Tables, Lighting, Pendants, Video Screens, NIMIS Screens, Cameras and Clocks. LCCWF civils. South Uist Renewable Energy Limited are proposing to install a small community owned wind farm in Loch Carnan, South Uist. We are seeking expressions of interest from parties interested in providing the civil engineering requirements. Outline of requirements. Key activities: Act as civils contractor constructing all the infrastructure / civil works required. Act as principle contractor for the period of construction of the project's infrastructure, as required under CDM regulations. Provide all required health & safety and welfare facilities required. Deliverables: 1. Construction of 2,5 km of access road across an area of ground which consists of numerous rock outcrops of massive granite or gneiss, either bare rock or covered with very thin soil, interspersed with small lochs and areas of peat of variable depth. It is therefore anticipated that the construction of the access road will require the following three construction methods Over low, reasonably level knolls and shallow peat (up to, say, 0,6 m) strip soft material the access road will need to be built up with crushed rock. On sloping rock cut out a bench and small ditch on the top side, which may require drilling and or blasting operations. It is expected that the rock produced will be used if possible to complete the bench and build the road on top, with imported rock used if necessary. Over deeper peat, the contractor should try not to disturb the existing top vegetation, laying a suitable geogrid and then using imported crushed stone build a formation layer on which the running surface can be laid. In deeply fissured peat the surface under the geogrid should be regulated using crushed stone. 2. Construction of 3 crane hard-standings to the an agreed specification at the agreed co-ordinates. 3. Drainage scheme, including drainage channels plus soakaways and filters, adjacent to the access road and Crane Hardstandings, as per the design by Green Cat Renewables Limited 4. Construction of the foundation for the pre-fabricated sub-station 5. Construction of 0,5 km cable trench connecting the 3 turbines and the substation on site.
