2500 village SOS learning campaign content publishing contract The Big Lottery Fund is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the DCMS. We operate across all countries in the UK. The village SOS programme is a partnership between Big Lottery Fund and the BBC. In May 2010 the Big Lottery Fund made 10 grant awards under a previous village SOS programme; 6 of which are intended to be part of a programme filmed by the BBC. The BBC TV series is planned for June 2011 and will run for 6 weeks. BIG's Village SOS learning campaign consists of an inter-related suite of activities, services and grants intended to provide ongoing advice and inspiration to rural villages in creating sustainable enterprises across the UK. The delivery of the campaign will coincide with a BBC television series showcasing the achievements of a group of projects funded through a previous Village SOS grant programme. The purpose of this contract is to ensure that all the information generated by the campaign is centralised, unified, made interesting and coherent to an external audience and project manage this process. In creating a suite of resource materials BIG aims to generate continued interest in the campaign, keep the information current and adaptive to both user generated concerns and wider economic and policy fluxes. It is intended that these resources will help to increase the size of the Village SOS community, ultimately increasing learning and facilitate the growth of sustainable rural enterprises within the UK.
