D-Aachen: repair and maintenance services of electrical distribution equipment
Service & maintenance for the offshore substation platform (OHVS) of Borkum West II Offshore Wind Farm. Provision of service and maintenance for a minimum of 5 years for the OHVS of Borkum West II Offshore wind farm. The offshore wind farm Borkum-West II project (hereinafter "Borkum West II") will comprise at most 80 wind turbine generators ("WTGs"), an offshore substation platform (OHVS) and inter-array cabling between the WTGs and offshore substation. The park will be situated 45 km north of the island of Borkum at a water depth of approximately 30 meters at lowest astronomical tide (LAT), rising to 37 meters at highest still water level (HSW). After the cold commissioning (mechanical completion) the construction phase will convert into the operational phase. Service & maintenance kicks in at cold commissioning (mechanical completion) of the OHVS. First of all the periodical maintenance schedule as defined by the manufacturers must be followed. The maintenance plans are similar to an onshore high voltage station with special attention on corrosion aspects and moisture. Additionally, the offshore specific items will be in the scope of the maintenance service company (e.g. backup generator, helicopter platform, facilities). This will cover change-outs of consumables and wear and tear parts. The rest of the maintenance is driven by periodical inspections by the maintenance contractor in close cooperation with the E/I installations manager of the Borkum West II Operations team. The results of these inspections determine the maintenance that has to be done. The remaining work is ad hoc work, i.e. curing failures, based on the SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) which monitors the OHVS. The survey and maintenance of the OHVS structure (steelwork) is out of scope. In general the logistics toward the offshore site is possible by helicopter or vessel in consideration of the weather conditions. The helicopter platform on the substation has a capacity of land a Sikorsky S-76 or similar helicopter type. In regard to the scope of the contract the necessary logistic toward the OHVS will be part of the business of the contractor. Details regarding the necessary transport facilities will be included in the specifications. CPV: 50532400, 50240000. ...
