Contract for compensation payout services. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) published policy statement 09/11 on 31.7.2009 on banking reform. This set out changes to the Deposit Guarantee Schemes Directive (DGSD) requiring faster speed of compensation payment. This means that from 31.12.2010, in the event of a deposit taker going into default, the FSCS will have a 7 calendar day target to pay eligible depositors. It will be required by law to pay all compensation payments within 20 working days. The Authority is looking to contract with a provider that will allow it to fulfill its regulatory requirement and specifically facilitate the payment of low value compensation and payment of compensation to people who may not have access to a bank account. Therefore, the Authority is specifically tendering for the services of a provider who, in the event of such a default, will both: — have an established document mailing and dispatch capability that would be used to communicate compensation instruction to depositors, and, — have the ability to make an "over-the-counter" cash payment of the relevant compensation to each eligible payee, further to the payee's production of suitable proof of identity, and the notification letter referred to above. Requirement: A 6 month extension with a further 6 month extension option for the period 1.4.2011 to 30.9.2011 (or 31.3.2012 if option taken))to current contract CBC/MED/0976 for the provision of a prosthetic service at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) at Headley Court. The contractor will provide a high quality amputee limb fitting service tailored to meet the needs of the patient population delivering both inpatient and outpatient care, for more established prosthetic users. Outpatient care will be delivered at DMRC, but there may a future requirement during the extension period for the development of regional delivery of outpatient prosthetic services at a small number of nominated regional prosthetics centres, the number and location of which will be agreed between the Authority and contractor. The contractor is required to provide the following: on-site management of the service in order to provide the prosthetic and orthotic service. Prosthetic and clinical assistant sessions to meet the clinical need, the requirement is for approximately 70 and 10 sessions per week respectively. Provision of a visiting prosthetist, approximately one visit per fortnight depending on patient numbers and complexity, to assess inpatients at the Royal Centre of defence medicine. Prosthetic technical support for the amputee service specifically with relation to manufacture of prosthetic devices as directed by the prosthetist. The requirement is for approximately 100 technical sessions per week. An orthotic support service consisting of approximately 2 sessions per week. Administration and computer software to enable the effective co-ordination of a comprehensive stock control and ordering process. This will be an extension to an enabling contract.
