UK-Inverness: refuse and waste related services
Provision of skip transportation services in the Highlands. The Authority requires the servicing of skip containers used for the storage of recyclable materials and / or waste including Special Waste, namely wrapped bonded asbestos at Highland Council Recycling Centres and Transfer Stations (see Schedules 1 to 3 to Section 4 of the draft contract). The Contractor will be required to collect containers from these sites and transport them to a range of treatment / disposal facilities at various named destinations. The Contract shall be divided in to three Lots as follows: Lot 1 Area 1 Schedule 1 – Inverness & Moray Firth; Lot 2 Area 2 Schedule 2 – Skye; Lot 3 Schedule 3 Highland wide Bonded Asbestos. Lots one and two may be awarded to one Contractor for both Lots or two Contractors, (one for each Lot). Lot 3 shall be awarded as a framework to one, three or more Contractors. The Contractors on the framework shall be ranked according to price. The Contractor who achieves rank 1 will in the first instance be offered the opportunity to service each of the individual requirements as designated by The Contracting Authority from time to time. Should the highest placed Contractor be unavailable or be unable to complete the requirements under the terms stipulated by The Contracting Authority, The Contracting Authority may approach the second ranked Contractor and offer him the opportunity to service some or all of the requirements. Story museum development. The Story Museum (TSM) wishes to appoint a quantity surveyor/cost consultant (QS) to work with the client and architect-led design team to provide cost advice in order to take forward proposals to deliver this exciting and ambitious project. The QS, under direct appointment by the client, will have a key role in moving forward proposals which will result in. — a central design concept and masterplan for the story museum development, — the "shell and core" development of the existing buildings plus partial fit out in a first phase, with ambitions for a full scheme that delivers the masterplan, — proposals for developing and delivering the brief for spaces for exhibition and galleries, live performance, film, heritage and conservation, education, library/research, catering and hospitality, retail, office/admin, storage (including specialist areas for heritage items), toilet/baby change and public access, — an integrated approach with creative designers and artists selected by the museum in the design and fitting out of spaces, — proposals for phased delivery in construction and fit out. The Authority has a requirement for the provision of a salary sacrifice-enabled childcare voucher scheme for members of UK Armed Forces and Civilian Workforce based in UK and overseas (where, overseas, they can access MoD regulated childcare). The contractor shall provide and administer the scheme including publicity, processing registrations, providing vouchers/electronic credits to scheme members and collecting performance management information.
