Hepatitis B and C Invitation to Tender. The CPHE will appoint a contractor(s) to support the development of guidance on ways of promoting and offering hepatitis B and C testing to people at risk of infection. The contractor(s) should be able to start work from January 2011. The contractor(s) will provide evidence reviews and economic analyses upon which the NICE programme development group (PDG) for hepatitis testing will base their future recommendations. There are two strands of work associated with the guidance development that the CPHE wish to commission: i) a series of up to four evidence reviews; ii) an economic analysis. CPHE welcomes tenders for either or both strands of work. Organisations wishing to tender for both pieces of work will need to submit separate bids for evidence reviews and economic analysis. The contractor(s) will work in line with NICE methods and processes for development of evidence based guidance. Powys rural development plan project farm diversification. Powys County Council on behalf of the Powys Regeneration Partnership welcomes expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to implement, manage and deliver a farm diversification project under the Rural Development Plan. The Wales Rural Development Plan (RDP) is an European programme that is operational during the programming period - 2007 - 2013. There are 4 axes of activity within the programme; with the Welsh Assembly Government administering axis 1 and 2 on a national basis, and local partnerships implementing axis 3 and 4 activites in their local area. Powys County Council on behalf of the Powys Regeneration Partnership have applied to the Welsh Assembly Governement for the following project under axis 3 of the RDP. Farm diversification scheme is a strategic project to develop the agricultural sector in Powys into a dynamic and competitive sector. This adds both cost and waste to the supply chain and acts as a barrier to the implementation of stock management systems. The proposed service model is designed to address this weakness by appointing a neutral wholesaler service for the East Midlands and Yorks & Humber region in 2 lots. The contract notice offers no guarantee of business. The estimated contract value includes the potential value of goods channelled through the service. Bidders will be required to submit proposals as part of the tender process which provide a compelling and credible case back to both East Midlands and Yorks & Humber NHS Trusts and the wider supply base. Tenders will be evaluated by a sourcing group comprising of core East Midlands and Yorks & Humber NHS Trusts including Derby Hospitals Foundation Trust, Nottingham University Hospitals, Northampton General Hospital, United Lincolnshire Hospitals and Kettering General Hospital.
