Supply of an Automated Blood Culture Analyser Capability. Blood analysers. The Medical & General Supplies Project team (M&GS) is part of the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Organisation and its role is to provide medical equipment and associated support to the UK Armed Forces. M&GS has a possible future requirement for the supply and support of an Automated Blood Culture Analyser Capability. All equipment shall be CE marked in accordance with Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC and comply with BS EN ISO 13485:2006 Quality Management for Medical Devices. It shall also meet the standards of BS5724 Part 1. Period of Contract: The Contract will be for a 2 year period from the operational date, with an option to extend for a further 1 year period. Financial Ability The Applicant's financial ability to meet this requirement will be assessed on a risk basis and the Applicant's financial accounts will be evaluated by the Authority. Applicants who present an unacceptable financial risk to the Authority will not qualify. Transparency, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations Applicants should be aware that, should they be awarded the Contract, the content of the Contract will be published by the MOD to the general public in line with government policy set out in the Prime Minister's letter of May 2010 (http://www.number10.gov.uk/news/statements-and-articles/2010/05/letter-to-government-departments-on-opening-up-data-51204).
