The Medical & General Supplies Project team (M&GS) is part of the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Organisation and its role is to provide medical equipment and associated support to the UK Armed Forces. M&GS has a possible future requirement for the supply and support of an automated blood culture analyser capability. All equipment shall be CE marked in accordance with Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC and comply with BS EN ISO 13485:2006 quality management for medical devices. It shall also meet the standards of BS5724 Part 1. Period of Contract: The Contract will be for a 2 year period from the operational date, with an option to extend for a further 1 year period. Financial ability. The applicant's financial ability to meet this requirement will be assessed on a risk basis and the Applicant's financial accounts will be evaluated by the Authority. Applicants who present an unacceptable financial risk to the Authority will not qualify.
