Framework Contract for General Medical Practice Information Technology Systems ("IT Systems"). NHSScotland continues to update its IT systems as part of its eHealth Strategy. To support this programme of work, the Authority, on behalf of all entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (i.e. all NHSScotland Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Common Services Agency), independent contractors to NHSScotland (i.e. general medical practitioners(GPs)) and the Scottish Prison Service ("Framework Participants") is seeking to establish a multi-supplier framework of suppliers of General Medical Practice patient administration and clinical applications, associated services (implementation, development, support and training), optional software modules and any ancillary items relating to the foregoing core and/or optional items. The GP System may be deployed within GP practices or premises from which GP or primary care services are provided which to avoid doubt include prisons, the State Hospital and premises from which out of hours GP services are provided which includes community hospitals. All applications must comply with at least level 3 of the Scottish Enhanced Functionality (SEF) requirement and must continue to maintain SEF compliance throughout the duration of both the framework agreement and any call off contract.
