Endesa Ireland wishes to invite expressions of interest for the design, manufacturing, supply and delivery, installation at site, testing and commissioning of the High voltage (HV) cable for the new Combined cycle gas turbine generating station site in Great Island, Co. Wexford (Ireland). All the activities will be carried out according to the relevant IEC Standards. The minimum characteristics required are: Insulation material XLPE triple extruded. Material and section of the conductor mm2 CU / 2 000. Conductor (Circular / Segmented) Segmented. Material and Section of the metallic screen mm2 CU / 300. The 220 kV cable shall be installed from the 220 kV bay, constructed by the National Grid Owner, to the GSU transformer installed at the generating station (details of terminals conditions will be given in the technical specification at tender stage). The isolated cable and its accessories shall be complete with all fittings and components necessary for its effective operation, performance and maintenance under the various operating conditions that will be specified in the tender. All such parts shall be deemed to be included within the scope of supply. The cables, materials specification and testing procedures shall be developed by the Supplier according to Endesa's project specifications. As part of SWs on-going capital programme to reduce the risk of internal flooding caused by hydraulic incapacity of the public sewerage system it is estimated that 60 properties per annum will require protection in the form of temporary/flood mitigation measures. We are looking for a specialist contractor who has a proven track record of delivering contracts of a similar type and can demonstrate their expertise as part of the following criteria: 1. has the appropriate skills to interface directly with sws customers in difficult and highly reputational circumstances 2. have a detailed knowledge and understanding of public and private sewerage systems 3. can carry out property surveys to confirm the flood mechanisms and appropriate mitigation measures for each property 4. has the ability to identify any areas of risk with regard to the impact on the public sewerage system / property structure / and adjacent properties / public areas by installing any such measures 5. can manage each project with regards to third party legislation such as building control / planning authorities / roads department etc 6. is able to programme and deliver the works scotland wide within agreed timescales and provide corporate data to sw throughout the contact period The type of mitigation measures may include but is not limited to the following: 1. supply and installation of standard and bespoke flood gates, flood doors, flood barriers, air vent covers tested to bsi pas 1188-1:2009 or equivalent 2. manhole construction including incorporation of standard and pumped non return valves to sws agreed specification 3. raising property thresholds, amending property apertures, ground re-profiling, wall construction and modification and alterations / diversions of drainage systems including ground reinstatement works 4. sealing / rendering of brickwork The above types of solutions are neither prescriptive nor exhaustive: therefore SW welcomes opportunities to develop innovation ideas with Successful contractor. NO-Oslo: bridge construction work
E6 Stubberudmyra bridge in Oslo, reinforcement. Statens vegvesen Region øst shall start maintenance works on Stubberudmyra bridge in Oslo. Stubberudmyra bridge is a part of the E6 through Oslo. The bridge is situated just north of the toll collection station at Alnabru and was constructed in 1969. The existing bridge consists of approx. 1 500 prefabricated and triangular concrete shell elements which are founded on 825 concrete piles in bog. The bridge does not have traditional land abutments, but edge beams which bear the weight of the relief plate. The relief plate is founded on a number of wooden piles in bog. The E6 over Stubberudmyra bridge has approx. 100 000 vehicles per 24 hours. The existing bridge shall be renovated by a new supporting concrete plate being established on top of the existing construction. This will be done by removing the current road superstructure, central reservations and casting a new continuous plate in reinforced concrete. The existing shell elements will be used as a base framework. The plate thickness will vary, with a minimum thickness of 280 mm above the top of the arched shell. A membrane shall be laid over the plate which shall be protected by a 40 mm asphalt layer under the road superstructure, central reservations with railings and street light masts are to be set up again. The works are divided into several phases where the 2 most important must be carried out in the school's summer holiday in order to manage the traffic flow with only 2 lanes in each direction. The first main phase is to be carried out in the summer holiday 2011 with 7 weeks available. The following main phase is to be carried out in the summer holiday 2012 (7 weeks). There will be several minor phases which must be carried out both before and after the main phases.
