The supply and/or maintenance of bicycles and accessories. The Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) as the contracting authority is tendering for the supply and maintenance of bicycles to the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). The MPA/MPS is seeking through this tendering process to set up a framework with suitably capable contractors to provide these goods and/or services for an initial term of 24 months with a unilateral option of the MPA/MPS to extend for further periods up to a maximum of 24 months. The MPS has a requirement for the supply and maintenance of approximately 2 000 - 2 500 bicycles and accessories over a 4 year period. The bicycles are located across the 32 London boroughs and are key to frontline operational policing in London and as such have high usage. The supplier(s) should be able to provide a vital service in the provision of new bicycles and/or maintenance for mainly standard size bicycles, although there may be a requirement for some special measures. The MPS estimates the value of this requirement for all lots to be between 3 000 000 GBP - 4 000 000 GBP over 4 years. It is the intention to set up a framework with one supplier for each lot, although suppliers can bid for more than one lot.
