To identify one provider of professional hydrological consultancy services for the production of the following: Phase 1 – Surface Water Management Plan. A preliminary county wide assessment of flood risk identifying flooding hotspots. Phases 2 & 3 – Surface Water Management Plans. A number (to be determined from Phase 1) of detailed plans based on flooding hotspots which meet the guidance threshold for the development of SWMPs and identified in Phase 1 (number to be confirmed – dependant upon funding availability and results from Phase 1). Provision of the services shall include the following (but are dependant on the actual phase of the plan): Collation and analysis of appropriate information, facilitation of information gathering workshops, mapping of information, computer modelling, analysis, identification of flooding hot spots, options appraisal, feasibility studies, risk assessment, model verification and calibration, assessment of current and future flood risk, mapping of flood risk, communication both to technical professionals and laymen, multiagency liaison/co-ordination, take on the role of "Senior Supplier" (SU) on the SWMP Project Management Board, and carry out the associated SU functions, and other activities related to development of Surface Water Management Plans for Cambridgeshire. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a "Bidders Day" to provide them with an opportunity to ask questions.
