Provision of MD110 switch maintenance and associated equipment upgrade and supply, and Software upgrade and supply. The University is seeking to appoint a supplier to maintain its networks of Aastra MD110 PBXs. In addition to this, the University has a requirement to update the administration MD110 to MX-ONE Telephony Server to provide the platform for future telephony provision. It is also intended that ancillary products and services will be included in this contract, and will include but not limited to other Aastra products, approved non-Aastra telephony products and any other telephony product or service that might reasonably be purchased. The University's voice network currently comprises the following components: Administration Aastra MX-ONE TSW (MD110) system on software BC13 (Approx 8 000 extensions). Student Accommodation MD110 on software BC9 (Approx 5500 extensions). Multiple Departmental Contact Centres (Utilising Solidus 6.0). Call Logging System (Datatrack). Voicemail (Voice Connect). Call Recording (NICE Call Focus). The University has also recently conducted a trial of Microsoft OCS and Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging. The trial has been a success and now provides the following functionality for a group of trial users (100 approx): Enterprise Voice (Co-Existence model). PC to PC communication. Dynamic presence linked to Outlook calendar. Voicemail delivered to Outlook desktop. Choice of user interfaces (i.e MOC Client, Traditional Handset or MS OCS Phone edition (Polycom handset). Future Voice Strategy (Short to Mid term). In the short to medium term, the University wishes to expand the trial of OCS and Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging. It is hoped that not only shall the existing functionality be rolled-out to a greater number of users, but also the following additional functionality be provided: Dual forking of calls for OCS and PBX users. PBX telephone handset presence displayed on OCS. It is also envisaged that over a period of time, users will have a range of options to use different devices (SIP handsets, soft clients, clients on mobile / wireless devices) based on the individual user or departmental communications needs). This will result in the general shift away from TDM extensions. The University is therefore aware that it must either upgrade or replace the current MX-ONE TSW to achieve these objectives. The University is therefore seeking to engage a single service partner to work with the University to delivery this strategic direction. Specifically, the service provider shall be expected to: Provide Systems Maintenance for the existing MX-ONE / MD110 telephone systems and associated systems, (including DNA and operator consoles etc). Provide systems maintenance for the existing Solidus eCare Contact System. Provide system upgrades / replacement for the above (as required to achieve the objectives detailed above).
