SNP genotyping consumables and services. Purchase of custom-made Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping arrays designed for 4 non-model fish species [Cod (Gadus morhua), Herring (Clupea harengus), Hake (Merluccius merluccius) and Sole (Solea solea)]. These will be based on user-defined content, as SNP discovery and selection has already been completed and the selected SNPs comply with the array design process. These flexible, pre-optimized assays will interrogate 1,536 SNP loci simultaneously. The tender consists of 3 sections: 1) All reagents required to genotype 4 000 samples (1 000 for each of the 4 species), including the 4 custom designed arrays to each genotype 1,536 Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs); 2) The processing of 4 000 samples (1 000 for each of 4 species) to include: quality control of DNA prior to processing, QC processes of array and data analysis as well as mutually agreed timing for the delivery of all data to the customer; 3) A combination of the above 2 sections. UK-Exeter: telecommunications cable and equipment
CP621-09 for the supply, installation and testing of voice and data cabling. Devon County Council (DCC) is the local authority providing services to the public of Devon, but not including the unitary authority areas of Plymouth and Torbay. This contract is for the use of Corporate DCC and Educational establishments within the geographic County of Devon. This contract is not intended for use on new building or major refurbishments projects but DCC reserve the right to ask the contractor to provide this service. Devon County Council runs extensive voice and data networks across the County of Devon, in support of directorate business needs. The Administration HQ is County Hall in Exeter, with major sites in Barnstaple, Newton Abbot, Tiverton, Tavistock and Honiton. Not all the buildings are owned by DCC and some are listed buildings permission must be obtained from the owners, their agents or appropriate body before any work is undertaken that will affect the fabric of the building e.g. drilling of access holes. The sites comprise buildings of differing construction methods and ages and in some cases a number of other buildings within the site area. Buildings are liable to be occupied when cabling is installed and care must be taken to keep disruption to a minimum. All cabling is owned by Devon County Council or individual schools. The telephony cabling is a mixture of traditional CW1308 cabling and structured cabling. It is envisaged that all telephone cabling will become structured, but there maybe a requirement to install traditional cabling at some sites. The data cabling is based largely upon Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable, category 5 and category 5e. It is envisaged that in the future cat. 6 cabling maybe required. In some cases fibre optic cabling is installed between buildings on the same campus. In the majority of cases quotations and orders would be sought/placed on the contractor by individual users, however on occasion's quotations and orders maybe sought/placed by DCC ICT Services on behalf of corporate DCC users and ScoMis on behalf of educational establishments within the geographical county of Devon. Contract for the provision of non-emergency patient transport services for intermediate care centres for Heart of Birmingham Teaching Primary Care Trust tender reference. This service covers the requirements of three intermediate care centres in central Birmingham. This involves transporting inpatients and outpatients to and from their front door, assisting patients to the vehicle and handing them over to a responsible person at the intermediate care centre and ensuring that they gain safe access to their residence. Some patients also need to attend outpatient appointments at local hospitals. These patients are typically frail and elderly. They are able to walk with or without the use of aids or are in wheelchairs. There is a variety of hours at each location from Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends and evenings may also be required. The Council wishes to award a contract for the provision of internet and e-mail services to schools in North Yorkshire for a period of 1 year, with the option for the Council to extend the contract for periods up to a further year, subject to satisfactory performance and the ongoing requirement for this service. Suppliers should be aware that the Council is conducting a full review of it's IT structure and delivery programmes within schools and the outcome of the review will influence the next 5 to 10 years strategy. The core service will be to provide a system that enables Schools to fully utilise the internet, accessing on-line content and services to support teaching and learning within the County's establishments. The system must be capable of being filtered to ensure that pupils are unable to access unsuitable material. Schools also require the delivery of a fully functional e-mail service able to cope with up to 40 000 users, filtered to prevent spam and inappropriate message content. The Council will implement its own connectivity links in the event the successful supplier cannot make their own arrangements in time for the commencement of the contract. North Yorkshire has 387 schools, of those there are 326 primary schools, 47 secondary schools, 11 special schools and 3 nursery schools. Actual uptake may vary as schools are able to make their own arrangements but it is anticipated that at least 360 schools will be involved in these arrangements.
