Apethorpe Hall is a large Grade 1 listed country house, dating from the late 15th century with many significant alterations, particularly of the 16th and 17th centuries. Besides the main house there is an extensive stable block as well as many garden structures. The site has been uninhabited for over 25 years, with many parts in very poor conditions. A Phase 1 programme of repairs was carried out in 2005-2008. The Phase 2 programme will have a contract value of GBP2-3million with a start on site in early 2011 and completion around 2013. The work involves a variety of repairs to the whole range of historic structures.
