Provision of commissioned transport. Portsmouth City Council is inviting organisations and individuals to tender for inclusion on a framework agreement for its commissioned and ad-hoc transport requirements which will be in place for duration of four years. The framework will cover the provision of a variety of vehicles with drivers, for example coaches, minibuses and cars including wheelchair accessible vehicles. Transport is required for passengers with varying needs and requirements. The arrangements will be used to support several functions within Portsmouth City Council including Home to School Transport and Children's and Adults' Social Care. The arrangements will also be available to employees of the Council who require transportation within the scope of their duties such as IT Technicians and Social Workers. Dial a Ride services will also be included within the framework. The majority of journeys will be within the Portsmouth boundaries and will range from regular predefined routes to reactive/ad hoc journeys.
