Wyndhurst is the University of Bristol's farm situated at Lower Langford, North Somerset; it provides a platform for practical teaching of the BVSc Veterinary Science programme and for research into farm animal welfare and production disease. Wyndhurst comprises 265 acres of pastureland with approximately 115 dairy cows, 200 breeding ewes and associated buildings and machinery. In its recent inspection of the Farm, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons criticized various aspects of the farm which lead to the University commissioning a management review of the farm.
