UK-Reading: energy-efficiency consultancy services
978 Sub-Metering. Background: The provision of Consultancy/project management and Training in delivering Thames Waters Sub Metering Project. In Sep 2009. Thames Water launched the Sub Metering project to achieve sustainable energy reductions, cost savings and improve process efficiency across 20 major waste and water operational sites. These 20 major sites cover approximately 49 % of Thames Water' total electricity spend. It was decided that the sub metering project would be delivered in 2 stages: 1) Sub Metering Pilot Trial: at 3 sites from Sep09 to Sept10; 2) Sub Metering Project: major roll-out at 17 major operational sites from Nov 10. The Pilot Trials are currently nearing completion stage and Thames Water is now aiming to carry out a major roll out of the sub metering technology across 17 sites (numbers to be confirmed – not limited to). The purpose of the project is to implement process sub-metering and provide data in order to continuously optimise processes to maximise energy efficiency on a real time basis. This is to be achieved by installing sub metering system and implementing an automatic energy monitoring and targeting (aM&T) regime to realise energy reduction and cost savings at 17 operational sites. Lots. The agreement will be split into the following lots: Lot 1: Consultancy: Energy efficiency and sub metering survey, create sub metering specification on-site (meters and hardware/ software associated); project management of hardware and software installation and delivery of efficiency savings through installed sub metering. Lot 2: Training: and awareness of employees to use end to end sub metering system and energy monitoring and targeting regime, and delivery energy efficiency savings. Please note that lots 1 and 2 all include services at wastewater and water sites. We are hoping to achieve the project objectives at 17 sites within a year, however we are open to suggestions from Suppliers on – whether these are realistic time-scales and whether they can achieve scope within less than 1 year.
