UK-Leeds: customer care / security at bus stations and cctv monitoring. The contract will be for provision of a customer care and security presence at bus stations in Bradford, Castleford, Dewsbury, Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley, Leeds, and Pontefract. The number of staff expected to be on each site at any one time will vary between 1 and 5. Staff will be on site, patrolling the premises during hours of operation, giving advice and dealing with anti social behaviour. The times will vary between bus stations and some will need to be locked late at night and unlocked early each morning. The tender documents will include CCTV monitoring as an option and the CCTV staff may be employed by a separate contractor. They will be located in remote premises outside Leeds, sitting alongside monitoring officers employed by Leeds City Council. Bus Station officers will have close liaison with staff monitoring Metro's CCTV system, to prevent anti social behaviour on the premises and apprehend offenders. Brent Transport Services (BTS) provides passenger transport services for Council clients with Special Educational Needs and those in receipt of Adult Social Care support. It currently operates most of its 92 daily routes with a workforce of 204 drivers and passenger attendants – this consists of a few Council employees with the most being temporary staff provided through employment agencies. These staff generally work on a 'split shift' basis to meet the needs of BTS' core morning and afternoon activities. The purpose of this PQQ is to assist ConstructionSkills in appointing a supplier to provide a vendor neutral managed service, including a full recruitment solution whereby the chose supplier will act as the focal point for all recruitment of permanent and temporary staff whether from internal or external sources. We propose that the contract will commence in January 2011 and will initially be for a period of 2 years with the option to extend annually, with a maximum duration of a further two years. This procurement seeks to appoint a supplier for the delivery of a vendor neutral managed service for the supply of all temporary and permanent staff. Potential Providers may be single organisations, partnerships, joint ventures or consortia. The selection of those to be invited to tender will be based on the criteria described in this PQQ.
