Lot 1: EOC requirements; The Elective Orthopaedic Centre is a Strategic Business Unit of Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust. A partnership of the four local Hospitals, it has transport requirements ranging over the whole of southwest London and north/northwest Surrey. The requirements are varied and include patient transport, including wheelchair bound patients; same day collection and delivery of samples including blood; collection of patient records to and from hospitals and other varied transport needs. Approximately a quarter of the EOC requirement will come from Surrey. The scope of this service is to provide a quality driven patient focussed service that is in keeping with an organisation recognised as a centre of excellence. The provider will need to demonstrate value for money yet be able to demonstrate operational excellence. Lot 2: Corporate requirements; Taxi/Courier Service for the Trust. The Trust has a requirement for a taxi/courier service at St Helier, Sutton and Nelson Hospitals to various destinations. The majority of the work involves same day delivery services to include passengers, packages, letters. Staff Inter Site Shuttle bus service. The Trust has a requirement for a shuttle bus service for staff and packages to be transported between sites Monday to Friday. The service is required to and from St Helier, Sutton, Epsom Hospitals and there may also be requirement for journeys to West Park Hospital. Lot 3: Pathology requirements; Pathology services at St Helier, Epsom and West Park Hospitals have a requirement for a courier service to transport diagnostic samples to various destinations. The majority of the work involves same day delivery and collection services within allocated time slots, in addition to ad- hoc urgent collections. The current service is undertaken by numerous courier companies, each department within Pathology ordering their own transport.
