UK-London: survey of UK inward investment projects. The Department of Business Innovation and Skills (UK Trade & Investment) is seeking to let a contract for a company to provide data and supporting information on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the UK. UK Trade and Investment has responsibility for recording all FDI as individual projects coming into and out of the UK. This involves tracking the decisions by a foreign headquartered company to create a physical presence in the UK, including the investment of capital expenditure to build a portfolio of physical assets in the UK. UKTI also tracks subsequent UK based expansions by foreign headquartered companies as part of our assistance programme for investors. This work also embraces the tracking of acquisitions and mergers with UK companies. These different investment types are referred to as "new projects", "project expansions", "merger and acquisitions" and project disinvestments. UK Trade and Investment has its own internal system to record investment projects, but has responsibility to report to Parliament all non UKTI involved project successes, in the Annual Review/Report to Parliament. As a result, UKTI needs to outsource the collation of this information. UK Trade and Investment (UKT&I) is the government organisation that supports both companies in the UK trading internationally and overseas enterprises, wishing to locate in the UK. NSS wish to procure a software solution as a managed service or product & implementation services which will enable Health Boards to strengthen their existing privacy surveillance and privacy breach detection capabilities. It is important that the procured service or product has been proved to be capable of interfacing and be compatible with all major electronic clinical systems used within NHS Scotland. The service or product should be able to interrogate data provided in the form of audit logs from health's existing electronic clinical systems and highlight areas where potential privacy beaches have occurred. There is an expectation that the procured system or product will have extensive reporting capability, reports will include information based on access date, demographic data and system user ID. The product or service should be capable of being programmed to refine the data capture and reporting requirements based on service need. The reports and data extracted should be able to be exported to other systems for data analysis. Local newspaper and advertising services. The Contracting Authority is seeking to enter into a six (6) year services concession contract with a company for the production of a newspaper to be distributed in the borough which contains independently produced news and other editorial content. The contract will contain provision to extend for up to 4 further years (at the absolute discretion of the Contracting Authority) on a biennial basis. The newspaper will replace "H&F News", the Contracting Authority's newspaper, which currently generates approximately more than GBP 500 000 in advertising per year. The new product will contain advertising on behalf of the Contracting Authority and the Contracting Authority will work with the news publisher to transfer existing private advertising into the product, estimated to be worth GBP 375 000 of the GBP 500 000 in 2010/11. The Contracting Authority seeks a share of profits from the newspaper and website platforms after direct costs from the partnership arrangement with a minimum guaranteed revenue share. The Contracting Authority also wants to use the newspaper to fulfil its own communication needs in a way that it is clearly signposted. This includes using the newspaper to engage and involve our residents in the delivery of public services in the borough. The Contracting Authority wants no say in independently produced news, features and sport content and wants to ensure this effectively scrutinises public services in H&F while reflecting community opinion across the borough.
