Responsive repairs and void reinstatement works to housing properties. Stroud District Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified service providers for the provision of responsive repairs and void (empty) property reinstatement works including the provision of a fully inclusive 24-hour repairs service for housing properties owned or managed by Stroud District Council. Stroud District Council owns or manages 5 242 properties. There is a possibility that Stroud District Council may include a doors replacement programme and other associated planned works into the scope of this contract but Stroud District Council does not guarantee that this will be included. Stroud District Council does not guarantee, warrant or represent the volume of orders which may arise during the term of the contract. It is intended that the service is provided to the whole of the District by a single service provider. Responsive repairs to electrical installations will be subject to another contract. The contract period will be 5 years with an option to extend for up to 5 further years at the absolute discretion of Stroud District Council making a possible total term of 10 years. Over the course of the contract the service provider will be expected to participate fully in the development of an effective partnering relationship and provide year-on-year improvements particularly in respect to customer care. It is a key objective for Stroud District Council that the selected contractor will work effectively with Stroud District Council to maximise the potential for improving the service over the term of the contract. Tenderers are advised that materials which the contractor will be required to use may be procured directly by Stroud District Council via a purchasing consortium.
