Provision of Neighbourhood Care Prevention Services. Primarily we are commissioning an MSP to act as a Management Agent on behalf of Cumbria County Council, and will not be delivering services direct to the client groups. Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care in Partnership with Primary Care Trust is seeking to establish a Neighbourhood Care Prevention Service for all adults across the whole of Cumbria. The council delivers a number of services directly or through third party organisations which support caring neighbourhoods. The new service to be tendered will build upon existing prevention services which currently focus on older people as well as a number of other services currently relating primarily to people with disabilities and will enable provision of a broader range of advice and information initiatives for adults of all ages and their informal carers. It will assist in building caring neighbourhoods and sustainable communities. Whilst prevention services will have some impact on shorter term demand, they can have a significant beneficial impact on people's sense of wellbeing and improve quality of life. This will reduce potential demand for longer term health and social care services in particular but also a range of other services provided by the Council. It will also help to maintain the current public perception that, in Cumbria, there are services in place that help people to live independently. CPV: 85000000. ...
