The property is situated in the centre of Oslo, close to the Catholic Church, St. Olavs plass and Vår frelsers gravlund (churchyard). The building was completed in 1903 as Kunst og håndverksskole (School of Arts) and Kunstindustrimuseum (Applied Arts Museum, hereafter KIM). A reconstruction was completed just before the war. The work is expected to be divided into three main phases; 1st phase is emptying and clearing of the building 2nd phase is excavation, including the necessary concrete work, and 3rd phase is the main enterprise. The project seeks to maintain the current demands on universal design, technical standards and environmental considerations, within the limits given by conservation interests, the existing volume of buildings and building structure. The building's approximately 14,500 m2 is distributed on 7 floors from G2 to 5th floor. The floors/areas shall be cleared and emptied. Ground floors are mainly due to be removed and the ground under shall be lowered because of alum shale. In addition, an investigation is carried out for an excavation of the grounds at the back of approximately 400 m2, for a potential new auditorium and ballroom below ground level. The outdoor areas are very limited. The extent of the workload will vary greatly between different rooms and floors. IRL-Dublin: survey services
Provision of a National Household Travel Survey. It is intended that a national household travel survey will provide essential travel behaviour data to support the NTA's transport planning role and for the maintenance of various transport models. The Authority currently operates and maintains a multi-modal Transport Model for the GDA. The model was previously maintained by the DTO and came into the ownership of the NTA when the Authority was established in December 2009 and subsumed the DTO. The GDA model covers two time periods – a 3-hour AM peak period (7 to 10) and a one hour off peak period (2 to 3) in the afternoon. While the trip assignment component of the current model represents trips in the AM peak and afternoon off-peak only, the demand model component requires data on all-day travel patterns and journey purposes. The model was updated in 2008 to incorporate the 2006 travel and Census data. The next update is scheduled for late 2012, to incorporate the travel and demographic data from the 2011 Census. The Census will provide comprehensive data on the patterns of travel to Work and Education that are the dominant journey purposes in the AM Peak. However, the model update will also require travel data on other all-day journey purposes – including trips to shopping, leisure, business etc., and the primary objective of the household survey is to provide this data. It is all intended that the data will be used to maintain similar multi-modal transport models that have been developed for other regional cities in Ireland, including Cork, Limerick and Galway. The NTA also intend to use the data in the development of a National Transport model. CPV: 79311000, 79311100, 79311300, 79342310, 71241000, 71311200, 71620000. ...

UK-Sheffield: education and training services
Innovation Fund. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) officially announced the Innovation Fund on the 12 May 2011 which is part of package of support aimed at tackling some of the long term structural barriers that stop some vulnerable young people from getting a job and starting their career. Vulnerable young people are a very diverse group with a variety of different needs. A range of factors are associated with a greater risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training) including low attainment, truancy, exclusion, teenage parenthood and having a learning difficulty and/or disability. It is expected that the Innovation Fund bids will focus on the most disadvantaged young people rather than those who spend a short time NEET whilst in transition between other activities. The purpose of Innovation Fund is to improve employment prospects for young people by: — supporting disadvantaged 14-17 year olds to participate and succeed in education or training in order to achieve better employment outcomes, and — providing interventions and support which help to deliver improved employment outcomes for young people aged 18 and over. The DWP expects to award between 5-6 contracts in the first phase – though the DWP will not be limited to this indicative range. The final number of contracts to be awarded will be dependant on the financial liability of the outcome payments and the quality of bids. The second phase of the Innovation Fund is expected to commence in Autumn 2011. DWP are seeking proposals from social investment partnerships, comprising one or more 'Investors' and one or more 'Delivery Bodies'. In some cases, such as Social Impact Bonds (SIBS) models, an intermediary may also be involved to bring together bond investors and manage the payment of returns to the bond holders. DWP will pay the contractor for outcomes achieved. The Delivery Bodies will receive funding from the Investors to cover their delivery costs, so they do not have to take the risks of outcome payments. The Investors supporting the Delivery Body could include (but are not limited to): — a number of individuals or organisations investing via a Social Impact Bonds (SIBS) model or similar via an intermediary body, — single organisations or individuals, — existing DWP prime providers. Further details about the the Innovation Fund procurement and DWP's requirements are available in the. Prospectus, on the Supplying DWP website. The Initial Application Form and Supporting documents will be available to download via the link below from the 4.7.2011. http://www.dwp.gov.uk/supplying%2Ddwp/what%2Dwe%2Dbuy/welfare%2Dto%2Dwork%2Dservices/innovation%2Dfund/. UK-Derby: pharmaceutical products
Provision of service for the supply of Luteinising Hormone Releasing Hormone (LHRH) analogues for prostate cancer within Primary Care across Derbyshire. In October 2010 MTRAC (Midlands Therapeutic Review and Advisory Committee) produced a commissioning support document for the treatment of prostate cancer. http://195.62.199.219/pctsla/mtrac/productinfo/Summaries/L/Leuprorelin2.pdf. This concluded that: — if the assumption is made that the LHRH analogues have equivalent efficacy and safety, and ignoring the differences in licensed indications, the main commissioning issue is cost, and the cheapest preparation should be used, — the comparative costs of the different LHRH analogues depend on whether the monthly or three-monthly preparation is used, — commissioners should engage with providers to reach agreement on product use to achieve the most economic model for LHRH agonist use across the health economy. This should take into account product price, local discounts available from manufacturers, and fees paid for administration, — there are a variety of LHRH analogues available; their licensed indications for the treatment of prostate cancer differ. There has been a service across Derbyshire that allows Consultants to use any LHRH analogue product in the treatment of prostate cancer. Continuation of treatment then continues in the primary care setting under the supervision of GPs. GPs and consultants can select from a range of products that are licensed for this use. This has resulted in a disparity of rates prescribed and administered by GPs and at a varied cost rate to the PCT. Historically, these products have never been market tested and there no formal commercial arrangements in place with Providers. The total annual expenditure is approximately £1.2m per annum although it should be noted that the products have other licensed indications. Derbyshire Medicines Management team covers both NHS Derby City (i.e. Derby City PCT) and NHS Derbyshire County (i.e. Derbyshire County PCT) with a joint population of around 960,000. The Medicines Management team are reviewing all aspects that relate to prescribing and have identified LHRH as an area where savings can be made, whilst maintaining quality of care, and without compromising patient safety. NHS Derby City and NHS Derbyshire County have a legal responsibility to provide comprehensive, effective and accessible health services to its population within a finite resource, which includes the provision and administration of LHRH analogue products. One of the objectives is to support the standardisation of prescribing in Primary Care across the PCTs to ensure best practice and consistency across all GP Practices. NHS Derby City has conducted this Procurement for itself and as agent for the Partner Organisation. CPV: 33600000. ...
