UK-Chester: pension fund management services
Strategic investment advice to the Cheshire Pension Fund. Cheshire West and Chester Council is the administering authority for the Cheshire Pension Fund. The Council administers the Fund for the employees of Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cheshire East Council, Warrington Borough Council, Halton Borough Council and 109 other employers and admitted bodies. As at 31.3.2011 there were approximately 73 000 members – with 31 300 active members, 21 600 pensioners and 20 100 deferred. Contributions income for the year to 31.3.2011 was 150 000 000 GBP, and investment income was 47 000 000 GBP. Benefits expenditure for the year was 130 000 000 GBP. The primary objective of the Fund is to provide for member's pension and lump sum benefits on their retirement or for their dependant's benefits on death before or after retirement, on a defined benefit basis. The funding strategy statement, Annual Report and statement of investment principles are available on the Fund's website www.cheshirepensionfund.org.uk. The legal framework for the investment of the Fund is contained in The Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations. National rail enquiries contact centre service - 2012. The UK national railway network, which includes some 2 500 stations, operates around 24 000 mainline passenger services daily for approximately 3 000 000 passengers. Following privatisation of the UK national railway network in 1995, the UK mainline passenger services are operated by franchise holders, of which there are currently 19. National rail enquiries is an integral part of the UK railway network by being the passenger train operators' initial customer contact point for the provision of independent national rail travel information. The proposed contract(s) primarily concern(s) services for the provision of inbound contact centre operation(s) for National Rail Enquiries to provide passenger train service information. It is currently estimated that the service to be provided will need to respond to around 4 000 000 calls per year with an Average Handle Time of around 180 seconds per call. The service provider will provide the general public with: information on train services, including timetables, fares and promotions, real time running information and service interruptions; the NRE customer relations service via phone, e-mail and white mail; first line technical support for new media services; bookings and payments for passengers requiring assistance at stations; all other associated data connected with UK rail travel. The selected supplier will be required to provide and equip the service location(s) and recruit, train and manage the workforce. NO-Tromsø: construction work
Renovation county road 868 Pollfjell tunnel. The tunnel is situated on county road 868 just north of Furuflaten in Lyngen municipality. The tunnel has tunnel class B, two way traffic in one tunnel and is 3 230 m, including portals. The profile is T5.5 and the annual amount of daily traffic is approx. 600. The work in phase 1 consists of renovation of 600 m from the tunnel opening towards Furuflaten and northwards in the tunnel. The work involves disassembling and removal of the existing PE foam, expansion of the profile to T8.5, permanent rock protection, water and frost protection with fire protection, laying new drains, road development, laying cover, one technical building, new electronic installations with guidelines as well as the assembly of 4 fans. Removal of the existing PE foam: Approx. 4 500 m2. Blasting for profile expansion, technical building and breakdown areas: 22 000 m3. New water and frost protection: Approx. 12 000 m2.
