CP758-11 Demand Stimulation Delivery Framework. The Connecting Devon and Somerset Programme is a partnership between Devon County Council, Somerset County Council, Plymouth Council, Torbay Council, Bath and North East Somerset Council and North Somerset Council. The partnership has developed a joint Broadband Plan which was used as the basis of their bid to Government for funding to support the roll-out of superfast broadband across the local authority areas. The bid was submitted to Government in April 2011 and the project was awarded close to 32 000 000 GBP in May 2011. The project was able to secure an additional 20 000 000 GBP from local authority partners and together with private sector funding, it is expected that the total funding package will exceed 100 000 000 GBP. In addition to the above capital funds, additional revenue support has been secured to manage the programme and fund this element. Work has also been undertaken to support the commissioning of a regional Superfast Broadband Business Support project. It is the intention that the work sought as part of this tender provides the core activity for Devon and Somerset, and this is enhanced and supported by additional activity undertaken through this regional scheme. Alignment of the two programmes is essential and a requirement of the Lot1 contractor. The Connecting Devon and Somerset programme has a number of core objectives which it will seek to achieve through a series of inter-related work streams. These are: — to deliver 100 % broadband (>2mbps) coverage to premises by 2015 with a minimum of 85 % of premises benefiting from superfast broadband (>24mbps), — to deliver this at a fair price and through an open network which attracts a wide variety of retail service providers, — to work with the public and voluntary sectors to deliver digital inclusion and transform access to services for rural areas, — to ensure rural communities benefit at the same time as our urban areas, — to unlock economic growth and create more and better jobs, through the effective use and adoption of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), — to ensure 50 % take up of improved and superfast broadband in white areas and 25 % take up in grey and black areas, and — to increase GVA by 0.75 billion GBP by 2020. The key social and economic aims of the project are set out in more detail in the Local Broadband Plan – see section 2.2 of the Local Broadband Plan (Appendix A). It should be noted that Bath and North East Somerset were not part of the Programme at the time of producing the Plan. There are two phases within the Devon and Somerset Broadband Plan. The objectives set out above relate solely to Phase 1 (2013-15 initial roll-out). CPV: 79000000. ...

UK-Northampton: IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support
Pharmacy management & e-prescribing system. The Trust envisages the introduction of an integrated medicines management system at NGH and also Berrywood Hospital pharmacy. The system would replace the existing EDS Swift Healthcare system which although supported is no longer being developed and so is a constraint on achieving best practice in medicine management and e-prescribing. The Trust will implement e-prescribing in a subsequent project but given the close integration necessary between a pharmacy and e-prescribing system will evaluate e-prescribing functionality in addition to that of pharmacy as part of this tender exercise and retain a contractual option to purchase the e-prescribing module after implementation of the pharmacy system e-prescribing. The Trust does not intend to produce an OBS based on its own requirements for e-prescribing, rather understand the suppliers offering by asking the supplier to detail compliance with the national baseline functional specification v1.0 25.1.2007. http://www.connectingforhealth.nhs.uk/systemsandservices/eprescribing/baselinefunctspec.pdf/view.
