Development and update of DG RTD's science, technology and competitiveness database. Since 2005 DG RTD has been running a service contract that created a database integrating all data relating to science, technology and innovation (STI) indicators. This database integrates STI statistics, but also relevant statistics from other domains of interest for the analysis of STI statistics, like for instance education, socio-demography, industry, trade and services from different sources, in particular Eurostat, OECD, bibliometric and other studies. In addition, the database offers a number of functionalities to create tables and graphs. The purpose of this contract is to further develop the database, maintain it up-to-date, integrate data and indicators coming from the different service contracts of DG RTD or other Commission services related to research and innovation, and improve its functionalities, including its access to a wider public.
