Wolverhampton City Council is seeking to find a provider to deliver services to young people with a complexity of needs in a soon to be built 4 bedded multi disciplinary children's home. Young people referred to or residing at the children's home would have been diagnosed to have numerous complex needs that have been difficult to address within Wolverhampton and beyond. The needs would include: — severe attachment disorders, — conduct disorders, — compulsive obsessive behaviour, — opposition defiant behaviour, — sexualised behaviour, — mild learning difficulties, — loss, bereavement and separation. The Provider would be required to provide the day to day care and interventions which would allow trusting relationships to be built, and crucial therapeutic and educational work to be undertaken. Young people would have care plans that would be time limited to enable interventions that would enable mainstream residential care, foster care, return home or transition to leaving care. The Provider would need to employ specialist staff in relation to social care, education, mental health and youth/play to enable co-operative and integrated working. Whilst referrals would be processed via an external placements panel and the Registered Manager, there may be occasions in which provision would have to be made for emergency admissions.
