External, communal and internal refurbishment of Carradale House. Poplar HARCA (the Authority) is a registered social landlord which owns and manages 7,310 homes in Poplar, east London. It is a non-profit making charity and it's aim is to help bring about the social, urban and economic regeneration of the area. The Brownfield Estate is one of a number of large scale voluntary stock transfer housing estates that were transferred from London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) to the Authority. Carradale House is a Grade 2 listed tower block on the Brownfield Estate in Tower Hamlets. The listing covers both the exterior as well all of the interior of the building. Carradale House contains 88 flats. The Authority intend to refurbish Carradale House as part of their ongoing regeneration of the estate and is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced contractor to undertake this refurbishment contract. The block will not be occupied during the refurbishment works. In order to meet its obligations under the Public Contracts Regulations 2006, the Authority invite expressions of interest from contractors interested in tendering for the works.
