London Street works Register. Transport for London (TfL) requires a Service Provider to provide and implement a fully hosted Local Street Works Register (LSWR). The system is required to enable TfL to fulfil its statutory duties under the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 (NRSWA), the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the London Permit Scheme (LoPS). These duties include but are not limited to; the co-ordination of street and road works and other highway activities to minimise traffic disruption arising from them, the granting and refusal of permit applications under LoPS, the monitoring of promoters' activities on the TLRN, including the inspection of promoters works, the management of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and streetworks related charges and the statutory requirement for all Street Authorities to maintain a LSWR. Kingston University is looking for opportunities to accommodate its students in appropriate and affordable student accommodation and which includes a managed service(s) provision delivered by the accommodation provider. The provider will be responsible for managing hard FM services such as building fabric and services maintenance and repair to the property. For all Halls of residences there are a range of other services which need to be provided and these include, but are not limited to, preparation of building, rooms, and common areas for arrival of students, management of the arrival and induction of students, fully manned out of hours service provision, cleaning of communal areas, deep cleaning, security of the building, hall management services, Tenancy Management Services, provision of pastoral care and welfare. It is possible for the accommodation provider to supply all or some of these managed student services with the University providing the remaining managed services directly. In principle the University will look to increase the number of units available to students as a consequence of the outcome of this procedure within a limit of 1,500 units. The University may make multiple contract awards to one or more bidders in order to meet its requirements. The proposed property/properties should be complete and ready for occupation by (or before) early September 2013. The housing stock covered by this part of the contract consists of approximately 9000 dwellings ranging from single units to high rise tower blocks; 2) Servicing, repairs, breakdowns and minor works to district heating and associated services (communal heating systems, communal hot water systems, and gas and oil installations from meter to communal plant and electrical controls wiring from panel isolators to communal plant), in the London Borough of Brent which are managed by BHP. UK-Reading: petroleum products, fuel, electricity and other sources of energy
1122 Beckton Biodiesel Plant Energy Generation Facility Thames Water has a desalination facility, located on the Beckton Sewage Treatment Works in London. There are currently 5 Catepillar 3516B-HD diesel generators on-site, running on biodiesel fuel, to power the desalination plant. The maximum power from the 5 engines is 1.6 MW each (8 MW total). Thames Water has a legal obligation with London Borough of Newham and other stakeholders to provide renewable energy to power the desalination facility (referred to as 'Section 106 obligations'). Thames Water is now looking to improve the overall cost effectiveness and operation of its biodiesel engine facility: Lot 1. Operation, monitor and maintenance of the biodiesel engines, plant and equipment located at Beckton Sewage Treatment Works. Responsible for the accreditation of ROCs (as applicable). The electricity generated will be used to power the Beckton desalination facility. It is envisaged this will be an 'input-based' contract. Lot 2. Supply of suitable 'green' biofuels that can be used in the biodiesel engines at Beckton Sewage Treatment Works, to power the Beckton desalination facility. Lot 3. Ability to manage the combined scope of Lot 1 and Lot 2 good and services as a 'managed service' and provide electricity to power the Beckton desalination facility.
