Aircraft tractor 25t el. For more than 30 years the a/c tractors Bucher and Dougles have been in daily use. They have already exceeded the end of their planned service life. Due to the difficult procurement of spare parts, maintenance is time-consuming and very expensive. With the implementation of a uniform tractor concept and the elimination of outdated a/c tractors (e.g. Bucher, Douglas or manual tractors) the short- and long-time preservation of sufficient a/c tractor capacities is ensured, and by means of a uniform fleet policy costs are reduced. Primary use The a/c tractors 25t el to be procured are used for the displacement of all aircraft operated by the air force on military airbases and auxiliary airbases from shelter to shelter or from location to location, and for the placement into and removal from shelters and halls. The commercial a/c tractor 25t el with a hauled load of up to 25 000 kg is used for a slope of 5 %. The a/c tractor 25t el is equipped according to the ordnance on technical requirements to be met by road vehicles (VTS) and admitted for road traffic with form 13.20A and consists of:— Basic unit with electric motor,— Cabin with lateral sliding doors left and right,— Trailer coupling back and front for NATO lug,— Battery charger,— Central water replenishing system,— Documentation / training documents,— Introductory and training courses Secondary use With the a/c tractor 25t el the maneouvering and positioning of a/c, with minimum space available, must be possible on civilian and military airbases in Switzerland and abroad.
